As with many sectors, the social care profession faces severe workforce challenges. Skills for Care asked us to scope the evidence from other sectors to identify approaches that they could utilise/adapt or learn from to boost the sector’s recruitment and retention.
We carried out a review of published and grey literature across key sectors and interviewed key stakeholders and skills councils. We identified practice in sectors that had made progress and highlighted what lessons Skills for Care could take from that to inform their future campaigns and wider workforce strategy.
