As part of a new approach to special education support, in 2016 Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) were introduced, setting out what support children and young people with SEND need. We were commissioned to develop a detailed understanding of local service provision at each stage in the EHCP process and identify drivers of users’ satisfaction and practical service improvements.
Based on our findings from multiple professional stakeholders, parents and young people, we devised a website to support local services effectively deliver a person-centred EHCP process.
