Unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and the National Transfer Scheme

The Local Government Association wanted us to explore effective practice in services supporting Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children through the National Transfer Scheme, whereby children and young people are transferred from the LA they arrive in to their permanent placement. We identified factors underpinning effective practice and the key challenges services faced. From this we produced a set of case studies to inform and advise other areas.
